You have to appreciate the combination of wanton piracy and unchecked magical chicanery. Tales from the Sea of Barban has grown quite a bit over the last eight years or so and was born from a friend’s desire to play a goblin pirate outside of our normal home game. As many one-shots do, the story quickly grew into something much larger and much beloved by our group. The simple treasure-hunting adventure transformed into a ridiculous Lovecraftian-horror / Friends-adjacent epic that I cannot wait to revisit someday.
